Deviant Art's 2021 Policies

I seriously don't understand as a platform how you can be 100% for the trans community, yet you do not allow any erections to be shown. If we want to show beauty and expression, allow it. Some of Deviant Art's rules are more restrictive than late night cable, and you can find them (at the time of this writing) here:

https://www.deviantartsupport.com/en/article/what-is-deviantarts-policy-around-sexual-themes

Masturbation - Hands should not be shown or described as coming into contact with genitalia in a manner which appears to represent masturbation.

Sexual Intercourse - Subjects should not shown or described in explicit detail as engaging in sexual intercourse. This includes depictions of sexual penetration, oral to genital contact, genital to anal contact, and oral to anal contact as well as other similar positions or interactions.

Vaginal, Penile, or Anal Penetration - This includes depictions of any object being inserted into the vagina, penis, or anus.

Where one of my Survivor pics fell afoul of this policy was Flame telling Elidonna "you taste so good" while her head was in front of Elidonna's pelvis. So it violated "described in explicit detail" while being overly suggestive.

Never mind on Cinemax they put a head in front of the good parts or block it with a candle or centerpiece all the damn time and simulate sexual contact all day with a head moving around or bobbing up and down. And on Cinemax they can show kissing and fondling of breasts up close.

Hands cannot be on breasts fondling, only covering as a hand-bra.

There are other guidelines here:

This covers fictional characters that in their original context were primarily depicted as below an acceptable age being portrayed as adults engaging in adult activity. This is sort of the anti-cartoon erotica rule where you can't take most Cartoon Network characters and then say "they are adults now" and portray them doing all sorts of things. Even though, technically this rule applies to every human being in a way, if we were all fictional characters.

A nod to big companies I guess.

Violence? We got that too:

What affects me is this part:

We ask that members of DeviantArt also refrain from posting fetish or sexual fantasy material which involve situations which are non-consensual, unsafe, illegal, or otherwise objectionable. Prohibited sexual fantasy content includes rape, asphyxiation, disfigurement, permanent bodily harm, execution, murder, and other similar themes.

This hurts Naked Fantasy a lot, because the characters get wounded all the time. Well, Boris Vallejo shows wounded naked characters too in battle. I suppose it is "safe" because it is not in a sexual context, just a naked D&D fight, but even this makes me feel those panels are really pushing the limit and it would only take a tiny policy change of a sentence to get them all pulled. This also hurts a lot of Vex's work because what are demons other than permanently disfigured humans? Even some of Vex's "transformation" pics where a human goes from human to demon would be disallowed under this rule.

There is a huge peril community of Deviant Art that can't exist on Patreon due to even more restrictive rules against violence there (you cannot type the word spanking or porn in a post description without getting flagged), and I feel they are on this same thin ice along with my Naked Fantasy series.

For those of you wondering why I struggle so hard every day to put images out, now you know the rules I work under. I have been around so long because I know and follow them, and it is the site's right, but I also have the right to say the site's rules suck and impact us serious storytellers severely and cause us great artistic harm.

I know, remove these rules and Deviant Art turns into any other porn site.

I know.

It hurts though, and it pushes me away from your platform being a serious artist.
