Geoshells and External Anatomy

 

Geoshell issues and external anatomy are the topics today. You may have a piece of external anatomy and a geoshell (skin or dirt shell) on top of that, and you notice this happening. Now, this happens a lot with external genitalia, but it happens with horns, tails, or other auto-fitting anatomy. How do you fix?

Select the geoshell, and you will see material zones for the anatomy there. In this case it is the vagina and anus zones. Throw an iRay default base shader on these zones because these will default to 3Delight, and the next step won't work.

After this, copy the torso material and paste them onto the vagina and anus material zones of the geoshell - and it will be fixed.

You may see the above happening and have no fix for the issue, and this is a tricky one. You will get these odd white splotches on the genitalia and have no way of fixing it. This is a UV mapping issue, and it can be fixed. Select the extra material zones on the geoshell, in this case, the anus and vagina. Change their UV mapping dropdown from "Generic UV" to "Base Female" (scroll all the way down), and this issue will be fixed.

And it is fixed!
